There sure are!

Our #1 goal is to always ensure your safety and to make sure you have the best time possible. We have been in operation for more than 25 years and guides have lots of experience in teaching paddling and guiding so feel confident in their guidance to postpone or cancel your tour. To shed some light into this decision making process, there are several factors that your guide will look at when evaluating weather conditions:

Do you get seasick? Below is a brief guide on wind conditions and if it's likely you'll get sick.

  • Wind: < 10mph/knots Wave Height: < 3ft Period: < 8sec = Nice!
  • Wind: 10-15 mph/knotsWave Height: 3-5 ft Period: 8-12 sec = Manageable but seasick possible
  • Wind: >15 mph/knots Wave Height: > 5 ft = Stay in Harbor or cancel trip

Motion sickness is fairly common and we want to provide some suggestions ahead of time to make the most of your experience with us.

Don't worry that you've never gone on a kayaking or SUP tour before! We're here to help. Getting started doesn't have to be hard and a guided tour is an awesome way to test the waters (no pun intended!). Below are a few of our favorite resources on what to expect, gear, and tips for your first paddling tour.
