Discover the calming benefits of forest therapy in California with our guided forest therapy experience at Redwood Tree Park California and Humboldt Redwoods State Park, California. Known also as “Forest Bathing” or Shin-rin Yoku as it was originally stated in Japan, where the practice began. The translation would be better stated: “To take in the forest environment.” In fact, there is no swimsuit required or actual bathing!
During this gentle forest therapy guided walk, you will tune unto activities meant to open your senses and help you absorb the tranquil forest atmosphere. Your Certified Forest Therapy Guide will lead your group through a series of initiatives to open our senses. The goal of a forest therapy guided walk is to allow our minds to reset, refocus, and refresh. As a Certified Forest Therapy Guide, your guide will lead your group through a series of initiatives to open your senses and slow your mind to better take in the benefits the forest can offer.
Unlike other options for therapy in California, this is not a typical eco-tour. A typical eco-tour would discuss natural history, identify plants and animals, and things of that nature. However, this forest therapy experience is meant to be a personalized meditative experience.Â
Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California offers stunning old-growth redwoods and scenic trails. After our time together, you will have a deeper understanding, and a “toolbox” of sorts, that you can use to further practice Forest Therapy on your own.Â
